Outreamer Foods - traditional hand baked cakes
James Jackson started Outreamer Foods in March 2003 and mainly supplied local restaurants and cafes with his home made cakes. In the late summer of that year, with an ever growing country garden, he decided to turn his home produce into cash crops and started making his own jams and prserves. He even puts his herb garden to work and makes a delicious rosemary loaf cake.
James specalises in small traditional cakes for the farmers market and many customers comment that his 'Maids of Honour' remind them of their grandmother's baking. This could be because many of his recipes come from a recipe book passed down to him from his own grandmother ~ also a keen baker in her time. You will find James at Orton and Pooley Bridge farmers markets every month. Contact
