Orton and Pooley Bridge Farmers Markets
" The very best foodie day out in Cumbria"
National Farmers Market of the Year 2005

Fruit & Veg:

Bill Pimlott. Home grown seasonal vegetables and bedding plants.
Run for generations by father and son, this family business is renowned for high quality vegetables. Their produce, ranging from cabbage and califlower to carrots and celery (and, come April, delicious new potatoes) is grown to the highest standards in Lancashire. From May through to July, Bill's range of bedding plants and hanging baskets bring a splash of colour to the market. And in the winter months he has hardy fuschias and winter pansies to brighten up your winter garden. Miniature varieities of chille and pepper plants are also available. Bill and his son William are a familiar presence selling their produce every month at Orton and Pooley Bridge farmers markets.

Bluebell Organics - Seasonal organic vegetables
When Katrina Palmer took on a 2 acre walled garden at Forcett Hall near Richmond some people said she would never be able to grow vegetables so far North….. but she proved them wrong. In winter you can buy turnips, carrots, swede, beetroot, leeks, cabbage, onions, pumpkins, marrows, cauliflower. In summer you can choose fresh peas, beans, sweet corn, apples, lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes and herbs. In season you can also select aubergines, courgettes, mangetoute, garlic, mushrooms… Bluebell Organics achieved fully organic status in September 2002 and is registered with the Soil Association. This means that this wide selection of vegetables is grown without artificial pesticides or fertilisers. (mobile) . Katrina sells her produce most months at Orton farmers market except for January.Tel 07759 832234 or contact
